Newark Charity Market Stall

The SUSTRANS Newark Cycling group had a market stall this Saturday 12th March and Pat has given a report below:

Saturday’s market stall was a success in my opinion.  Think we had about 40 people approach us wanting to know about local rides and cycle paths and we have 15 new names added to the email list Alan sends out to about the rides and events we have.  Quite a few maps and guides handed out and sold a few, but not many, Sustrans branded things.
A big thank you to Annie and Ian who brought along their tandem which drew in a few people and who stayed for the day.  Thanks also to Eamon and Alan for coming down to help out too.
The banner and pop-up display for the UK cycling network you gave me caught the eye of several people too and drew them to the stall.  Annie went walkabout round the market place handing out our flyers as well.  Perhaps the most disappointing thing is very few people were tempted by cakes Annie and Ian had brought, but Eamon had no complaints eating them!
